Patricia Ann Smith Lorenzetti, 81, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at The Pathway Home, surrounded by her loving family. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 3rd at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 97 West Bayard St., Seneca Falls. She will be laid to rest in St. Columbkille Cemetery.

Patti was born on December 11, 1944, at Clifton Springs Hospital and was adopted on December 23, 1944, by Katherine (Bordner) and Myron Smith of Seneca Falls. She grew up in Seneca Falls and graduated from Mynderse Academy with the Class of 1962 before continuing her education at Central City Business Institute in Syracuse.

Patti began her career at Westcott Rule and later worked at Willard Psychiatric Center until its closure in May 1995. She then continued her career with the New York State Department of Correctional Services at the Willard Drug Treatment Campus, where she worked until her retirement.

On November 30, 1974, Patti married Carlo Lorenzetti Jr., and together they raised their four children. As an only child, Patti grew up with a small family, but marrying Carlo welcomed her into a large and loving extended family. She embraced the many new traditions, gatherings, and celebrations that came along with being part of the Lorenzetti family and treasured the relationships she formed over the years.

Patti loved bowling and spent many years playing golf at Seneca Falls Country Club. She especially enjoyed the friendships and socializing that came along with both. She generously gave her time to many organizations throughout the community, including New York Special Olympics, the Seneca Falls Recreation Center, St. Patrick’s sports programs, and the Willard Drug Treatment Campus Employees Committee. Over the years, she could even be found dressed as the Easter Bunny for the annual Easter Egg Hunt or as Mrs. Claus at the children’s Christmas party. Above all, she was always willing to volunteer, lend a hand, or simply show up for anything that supported her children and family throughout their school years and well beyond.

Patti was also an avid sports fan and could always be counted on to cheer for her beloved Mynderse Academy Blue Devils and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Patti is survived by her husband of 51 years, Carlo; her son, Eric (Angie); her three daughters, Katrina, Denise, and Carla; and her granddaughter, Emma. She also leaves behind her beloved grandpuppy, Veto, who held a special place in her heart and was, without a doubt, her favorite cuddling partner.

She is also survived by her aunt, Anna Wilkes; sister-in-law, JoAnn and her husband, Charlie Barbay; three brothers-in-law, Dr. Joseph and his wife, Laurie, James and his wife, Jill, John and his wife Cindy Lorenzetti, who was especially close to Patti, and who was much more than just a sister-in-law. Having grown up as an only child, Patti never had a sister, while Cindy grew up with only brothers. In each other, they found the sister neither had growing up, forming a special bond that they treasured throughout the years. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

She was predeceased by her parents, Katherine and Myron Smith; her parents-in-law, Carlo Sr. and Frances Lorenzetti; her brother-in-law, Dennis Lorenzetti; and her sister-in-law, Mary Lorenzetti.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Patti’s memory may be made to Pathway Home of the Finger Lakes, or the Mynderse Academy Drama Club or Music Department.
