Patricia A. (DeNard) Giardino

Seneca Falls: Patricia A. Giardino, age 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022 at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo, after a brief illness. Friends and family may call from 4 - 7 PM on Monday, February 7th at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 8th at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 97 West Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Interment to follow at St. Columbkille Cemetery.

Patricia was born on January 29 th , 1936, in Seneca Falls, to the late Patrick and Josephine (Ricardo) DeNard and had a wonderful childhood. After graduating from Mynderse Academy, she went on to work as a medical secretary; first at Seneca Falls Hospital, and later for a private dental practice. She also filled in when needed at Taylor Brown Hospital in Waterloo. Though she was proud of her work, she enjoyed most being around her family and friends.

Pat treasured her time spent with her children and grandchildren, but also loved spending time with her mother and father, sister, cousins, in-laws, neighbors, and extended family who would visit frequently. Though her family was spread out in New York, New Jersey, and Florida, they always made time to visit. She enjoyed board games, bocce, playing cards, gambling, shopping, and really anything that kept her active, including cheering on her New York Yankees. She loved holidays, especially Christmas, and cookouts with her family. In her later years, she was very happy to be called "Nana" by her beloved grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her husband of 65 years, Anthony; sons, Stephen of Liverpool, NY and Mark (Shari) of Victor, NY; precious grandchildren, Deanna and Jonathan, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her sister, Flora and beloved grandson, Anthony.
