Seneca Falls/Auburn - Paul J. Pysnack, 83, formerly of Swartz Towers, Auburn, NY, died Friday (June 3, 2016) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. Family and friends may call at St. Peter and Paul Church, 132 Washington St., Auburn, NY on Thursday (June 9) from 10 AM to 11 AM followed by a funeral service at the church at 11 AM with Reverend Vasyl Colopelnic, Pastor, officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Sampson Veterans Cemetery, Route 96A, Town of Romulus, NY. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Peter and Paul Church, 132 Washington St., Auburn, NY 13021 or to Sampson Veterans Cemetery, 6632 Route 96A, Romulus, NY 14541 or to the New York State Troopers P.B.A., 120 State St., Albany, NY 12207 Paul was born in Auburn, NY on January 4, 1933 the son of the late Peter & Anna Namisnak Pysnack. He had resided most of his life in Auburn, NY. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from the New York State Police and was a member of St. Peter and Paul Church, Auburn, NY. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Auburn, NY Council and the New York State Troopers Association. Just recently, an article about Paul's career in the New York State Police appeared in the New York State Trooper's Magazine. He is survived by: 2 sons - Dennis Pysnack - Seneca Falls, NY Joseph (Luanne) Pysnack - Seneca Falls, NY 2 twin grandchildren - Ella & Jaymon Pysnack His sister-in-law - Mary Ann Pysnack- Auburn, NY Several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by 1 brother, John "Jack" Pysnack and Dennis and Joe's mother, Maureen Pysnack who died September 11, 1988.
