Pegatha S. Goheen

Pegatha S. Goheen, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly after her battle with cancer. She was 55. A private graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo at the convenience of her family. Donations in memory may be directed to your local humane society of choice, or to the American Cancer Society.

Peg was born in Waterloo, NY, daughter of the late Gary and Sharon (Mastellar) Goheen. She graduated from North Rose – Wolcott Central School.

Peg was a special person to so many. A very social person, she always enjoyed a hot cup of coffee and a good conversation. Music was always a big part of her life, and she loved a good summertime fair. She kept her mind focused by working on crossword puzzles and adult coloring books. Her children, grandchildren, and close friends were always welcome in her home.

Peg is survived by her children, Karley VanAkin and Jericho (Maryia) Mundell; 5 grandchildren, Carter, Jackson, Ayedin, Gavin, Isabell; sister, Veronica (Dale) House; 2 nephews, Jacob and Christopher House; special aunts, Gloria Gates and Laurie (Alan) Gundlach; as well as other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
