Peter Lynn
Giusti
June 15, 1952 – February 25, 2026
Funeral Mass
St. Patrick's Church
Starts at 11:00 am (Eastern time)
Peter L. Giusti, of Daniel Island, SC, and formerly of Seneca Falls, NY, sadly passed on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026, at the age of 73. In keeping with Peter’s wishes, there is no public visitation. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 9th, at 11 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 97 West Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Interment, with his parents, will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be directed to K9s for Warriors at K9sforwarriors.org.
Peter was born in Seneca Falls, son of the late, Peter and Jane (Dragone) Giusti. He graduated from Mynderse Academy, Class of 1971. During his time at Mynderse, he played both baseball and football and was recently inducted into the Mynderse Athletic Hall of Fame with the 1970 undefeated football team. After high school, Peter attended Keystone College and transferred to Alfred University where he received his bachelor's degree in history. After college, Peter took employment with the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Albany, NY, which was his first step down a long career path with non-profit organizations.
Over the course of his career, Peter worked for and brought his non-profit experience to the National Arthritis Foundation in Atlanta, GA, served as chief development strategist for AMVETS national headquarters in Lanham, MD, served as CEO for the national offices of the American Foundation for Urological Disease in Linthicum, MD, the Scleroderma Foundation in Byfield, MA, the Celebration of Health Foundation in Provo, UT, and most recently with USA Cares in Louisville, KY.
Peter was known for his hard work ethic, his enthusiasm, and his desire to succeed for the organizations he was a part of. Veteran organizations were especially meaningful to him, as his father was a WWII veteran, and he wanted to give back in honor of him and help honor those who served and their families that sacrificed. At an airport in Florida, he was instrumental in ensuring the USO lounge was a place where veterans and their families could find rest and comfort along their travels, and he made it a point to appreciate and acknowledge the veterans who served our country.
Outside of his professional life, family meant everything to Peter. He was happiest when surrounded by his children, nieces, nephews, and close friends, always wearing his signature smile. He adored his children and cherished time spent with them, which later blossomed into a special devotion to his granddaughter, Sophia. Peter had a remarkable gift for friendship – he made connections wherever he went and maintained relationships dating back to grade school. He loved people, and they loved him in return.
Peter is survived by his children, Nicole (Kevin) Yanzetich, Jamie Giusti, PJ (Carolina) Giusti, Nicholas (Soniya) Giusti, their mother, Cindy Giusti; beloved granddaughter, Sophia Yanzetich; brother, Larry (Mikie) Giusti; nieces and nephews; Jeff, Liz, Chris, Julianne, Jake, and Emma; and girlfriend, Linda Holmquist; as well as extended family and many friends.
