Phyllis E. (Fure) Cologgi

Seneca Falls - Phyllis E. Cologgi, 90, formally of Mechanic St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday (December 13, 2018).
Family and friends may attend Phyllis' Memorial Mass, on Thursday, (December 27, 2018) at 10:00 a.m., at St. Patrick's Church, 97 W. Bayard St., Seneca Falls with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be at Sampson's Veteran Cemetery immediately following.
If desired, contributions may be made to the Seneca Falls Library, in memory of Phyllis at 43 Cayuga St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148.
Phyllis was born in Brantford, Ontario, Canada on August 31, 1928, to the late Victor and Gwendolyne (Foote) Fure. Phyllis has been living in Seneca Falls, NY since 1950, coming from Montreal, Canada. She was married 65 years to the late Gino Cologgi who passed away on June 6, 2015. She was retired from Gould Pumps Water Systems where she worked for many years as a clerk. Phyllis was a member of St. Patrick's Church, a member of the Elks Club, Rumseyville Club, and the Knitting Club at Seneca Falls Library where she was an avid knitter. She taught knitting starting in the 60's in the adult education program at Mynderse Academy. Phyllis also was an avid bowler and played Bocce at the SMS and Elks Club in Seneca Falls, NY.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Newark Wayne Hospital, Newark NY, for the special care they gave to their mom and to her family and friends during this difficult time.

1 - Son - Robert (Peggy) Cologgi - Rexford, NY
2 - Daughters - Linda (Glenn) Prosser - Seneca Falls, NY
Donna (Paul) Cerza - Seneca Falls, NY
2 - Sisters - Ingrid (John) Flood - Montreal, Canada
Margaret Gillis - Minden, Canada
6 - Grandchildren - Jonathan Prosser, Nicholas (Khristina) Cerza, Michael Cerza, Kristen (Will) Childress, Kimberly Cologgi and Matthew Cologgi
2 - Great Grandchildren - Felix Cerza and Robert Childress
Besides her parents, Phyllis is predeceased by her husband, Gino Cologgi; 5 brothers: Edward, Ralph, Fredrick, Raymond, and Pedre Fure, and her sister Florence Moore.
