Seneca Falls - Phyllis A. Frappolli, 86, of 47 Green St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in her home with her children by her side. Family and friends may call at Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Wednesday, June 26, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Phyllis's Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 27th, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 97 W. Bayard St., Seneca Falls with Reverend James Fennessey, as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. Contributions, if desired, may be made to St. Patrick's Church, (Parish Office) 35 Center St., Waterloo.
Phyllis was born in Seneca Falls, NY on March 3, 1938, the daughter of the late Anthony Fiorelli & Amelia Ferrara. She is also the stepdaughter of the late Ray Costello. She was a lifelong resident of Seneca Falls and a graduate of Mynderse Academy. She retired from the U.S. Government and transitioned into a fulfilling career as a wedding planner.
Phyllis is survived by two children, Peter (Kim Mellito) Frappolli, of Bonita Springs, Fl., Karen (Victor) Tumbiolo, of Seneca Falls, NY; five grandchildren, Michelle (Graham) Chapman, of Honeoye Falls, NY; Anthony Frappolli, Michael Contreras, Victor Tumbiolo II, and Christina Tumbiolo; all of Seneca Falls; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Scarlett Chapman, of Honeoye Falls, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Gino J. Frappolli, whom she married July 26, 1958, and her sister, Bonnie VanArsdale.
In addition to her loving family, Phyllis was fortunate enough to have built many lifelong friendships. Together with Gino, they enjoyed traveling, playing cards, going to the theatre, and cheering for Syracuse University football and basketball. She had a flare for fashion and loved to host gatherings for her family and friends. Their home was always filled with love, delicious homecooked meals, and lots of laughter.
