Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Auburn. Donations in memory may be directed to St. Patrick's Church.
Rick was born in Auburn, NY, son of the late John and Ann (Marchetta) Daugenti. He graduated from Auburn High School and went on to attend Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo. Rick retired from his position at Finger Lakes DDSO as a DA II out of Rochester, a position he held for many years.
To know Rick was to know a good time. He was always one with a joke, quick witted come back, and a positive outlook on life. He loved to be outdoors, whether fishing, talking with neighbors, working in the yard, or just “surveying the perimeter”. He was most happy when he was outside. He was a loyal Buffalo Bills fan and attended many games over the years. After retiring, Rick bought a house in Florida and in the winter months could most often be found spending his days on the beach with a cold margarita in his hand and a smile on his face. He was a longtime member of the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge 992 and a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church.
As much fun as Rick had in life, his family was always his #1 priority. He enjoyed family get togethers with big meals and lots of laughs. He loved spending time with his grandkids, making them laugh and offering words of wisdom. His daughters have many wonderful memories of their Dad and the fun times they were able to share. Those closest to Rick will miss him for his big smile and his even bigger heart.
Rick is survived by his longtime companion of over 21 years, Jo; daughters, Krissy (Steve) Barone, Sarah Daugenti, Joanna (Brian) Bailey; beloved grandchildren, Stephen, Dominic, Dylan, and Kaelyn; as well as cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents.
