Waterloo - Richard E. "Dick" Sculli, 81, of Center St., Waterloo, NY, passed away Tuesday evening (April 4, 2016) at his residence with his family by his side, after a short battle with cancer. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls on Sunday, April 10, from 1 to 4 PM followed by a funeral service at 4 PM at the funeral home with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Mary's Church, Waterloo, NY, officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Sampson Veterans Cemetery, Town of Romulus, NY at a later date. If desired, contributions may be made to Lifetime Care Hospice, Newark Plaza, 800 W. Miller St., Newark, NY 14513. Dick was born in Waterloo, NY on December 8, 1934 the son of the late Michael & Victoria Bova Sculli. He was a life resident of Waterloo and had served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the Town of Waterloo where he was a mechanic. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Waterloo. He, also, was a member of Warner-VanRiper Post #435 American Legion, Waterloo, NY. Dick loved working in his garage on small engines and on his wood working projects; but most of all, Dick will be remembered driving around Waterloo in his 1964 turquoise blue Pontiac convertible. He is survived by: His wife, Sandra Smith Sculli of Waterloo, NY whom he married on September 15, 1979. 2 daughters - Deborah (Benny) Alongi - Seneca Falls, NY Lynn (Troy) Wright - Clermont, Florida 1 son - Kenneth (Karen Quartaro) Tiaskkun - Stanley, NY His grandchildren - Bryn (Michael) Hilbert, Stacia (Perry) Friend, Amanda, Samantha, Emily & Sydney Wright, and Daniel & Matthew (Michaela Gantz) Tiaskkun His great grandchildren - Sarah & Emma Hilbert, Brayden & MacKenzie Friend, & Connor & Jordon Tiaskkun Numerous nieces and nephews His dog and best friend, "Furby" In addition to his parents, Dick was predeceased by 7 sisters, Mary Christian, Rose Ann Zahos, Angie Conway, Elizabeth Sculli, Connie Walter, Theresa Sabatine, & Genevieve Sculli and 3 brothers, Nick, Jimmy, & Tony Sculli.
