BRADENTON, Fla./WATERLOO - Robert P. Avery, Sr., Passed away on December 28th, 2020 at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Lakewood Ranch, FL at the age of 75. Services will be held at a time and date to be determined.
Born on August 11, 1945 in Pittston, PA, to the late Robert O. and Constance M. (Zawacki) Avery.
Bob received his NYS Journeyman papers from American Can Company in Geneva, NY. and retired after 26 years from Eastman Kodak in Rochester, where he was an Engineer and Shift Supervisor. Known as "Mr-Fix-It", he truly loved helping people.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Janie (Whiting) Avery; sons, Robert P. (Wendy Very) Avery, Jr. of Seneca Falls, NY and William T. (Sandra Harquist) Avery of Fuquay-Varina, NC; 2 grandchildren, Robert P. Avery III and Jessica Marie Avery and their mother, Patricia Avery, of Seneca Falls, NY; brother, Leo (Arlene) Avery of Lake Charles, LA, sister-in-law, Elaine Avery of Waterloo, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob is predeceased by his brother, Jerome Avery and beloved in-laws, Bill & Marie Whiting and dear sister-in-law, Kathleen Farney Whiting.
Donations in memory may be made to a charity of one's choice or to St. Francis & St. Clare Parish, 25 Center St. Waterloo, NY 13165.
