Robert Scott “Red” Stahlman, 64, most recently of Seneca Falls, passed away unexpectedly, due to an undiagnosed illness, on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, at his home. All services will be held privately, at the convenience of his family.

Red was born in California, son of the late Robert and Charlotte (Seel) Stahlman. He grew up in the Wellsville area where he graduated from Wellsville High School, Class of 1980. He furthered his education at Alfred State College, where he received his associates degree in chemical technology in 1982. He relocated to Seneca Falls from Wayne in 2009.

Red was always the life of the party and never liked to be held down too much. His free spirit allowed him to befriend most people he met, and he will be missed by many. He thought that life was an adventure to take on, and to experience as much as you could while you were here. As a result, he worked for various companies in the area in many different capacities. He’d worked for RTS as a bus driver, Fitzgerald Brothers Transportation as a limo driver, del Lago Casino, put his chemical degree to use at Evans Chemetics and retired from GW Lisk just this past year.

Red loved to ride motorcycles, a lifelong passion of his, and was an avid gun enthusiast. He enjoyed visiting the various sportsman clubs in the area with his friends to shoot guns. He was also a man with a big heart for animals. Having had many pets over the years, he was especially close with his dogs. He loved to listen to the blues and was proud of his German heritage. He was a frequent flyer at both the Sterling Renaissance Festival and the Finger Lakes Celtic Festival. He also enjoyed good food and spending quality time with his friends.

Red is survived by his wife, Gayla; sister, Elke Peet; one niece and one nephew; several cousins, and many, many, friends. He was predeceased by his parents.
