With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Robert S. Zona, on August 4th, 2026. A private graveside service, for Robert and his sister who passed only weeks after him, Linda, will be held at the convenience of the family, where the pair will be laid to rest with their parents in St. Columbkille Cemetery.

He was born in Seneca Falls, the youngest of four siblings to the late Albert Zona and Josephine (Romeo) Zona. He graduated from Mynderse Academy, class of 1976. After graduation, he worked at Goulds Pumps for a short time. Robert loved music and shared this passion with his friends and family.

Robert is survived by his sister, Sandra Fogarty of Sun Lakes, Arizona; brother, Frank (Marge) Zona of Holly Springs, North Carolina; twin sisters, Louise (James) Kelts of Lupton, Michigan; and Linda Zona of Waterloo; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family extends their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary doctors, nurses, and staff at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY for the compassionate care, kindness, dignity and comfort, they provided Robert during his extended illness.
