Seneca Falls - Roberta "Bobbie" F. Laribee, 73, of Bridge St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Thursday (May 1, 2014) at Clifton Springs Hospital, Clifton Springs, NY. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Monday (May 5) from 4 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (May 6) at 10 AM at the funeral home with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick' s Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Oaks Corners, NY. If desired, contributions may be made to Beverly Animal Shelter, River Road, Waterloo, NY 13165. Bobbie was born in Elmira, NY on July 7, 1940 the daughter of the late Frank & Helen Close Oaks. She had resided in Seneca Falls since 1965, moving from Geneva, NY. She had worked at the Seneca-Cayuga ARC, Waterloo, NY, for a number of years. She, also, had done some private duty health care in the Seneca Falls area. She was a member of the Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion Auxiliary of Seneca Falls, the Waterloo Memorial Post #6433 V.F.W. Auxiliary of Waterloo, NY, and a member of the Finger Lakes Women of the Moose, Waterloo, NY. Bobbie loved to read and do crafts. She is survived by: Her husband, Thomas Laribee of Seneca Falls, whom she married on May 12, 1978 1 daughter - Susan (Robert Cook) Updyke - Seneca Falls, NY 4 sons - Scott (Donna) Arnold - Savannah, NY Jeffrey Arnold - Geneva, NY Kelly Arnold - Waterloo, NY Robert (Melisa Bruder) Laribee - Waterloo, NY 14 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren 1 brother - Frank (Marcia) Oaks - Stanley, NY In addition to her parents, Bobbie was predeceased by her son, John Laribee who died April 24, 2013 and her daughter-in-law, Marcella Arnold who died, December 9, 2013.
