Seneca Falls - Rose M. Kivak, 86, of Seneca Falls, NY, passed away at her residence, Friday, June 13, 2014. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, (June 20, 2014) at 11:30 AM, at St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterloo, NY, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. There will be no prior calling hours. Rose was born on October 12, 1927, in Pittston, PA., the daughter of the late Francis and Libera (Belfiore) Bantell. She has lived in Seneca Falls for the past 61 years, moving from her hometown of Pittston, PA in 1953 with her husband Edward, and her daughter Dianne. She was the wife of the late Edward Kivak and they were married for 63 years. She was a member of The Parish of St. Francis and St. Clare in Seneca Falls. She was a former employee of the Seneca Knitting Mills and Ocram, where she retired. She then took on the job of caring for her family, especially her granddaughters. Rose enjoyed spending time at home with her family, dining out, watching the news, shopping, and baking Italian cookies.
