Sandra J. Bogart

Sandra J. Bogart, 78, passed at Geneva General Hospital on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 24th from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM with a short prayer service to conclude at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Interment, Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. Being that Sandy had a big heart for animals, donations in memory may be directed to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY 13165 or to a charity of ones choosing.

Sandy was born in Conquest, NY, the daughter of the late Millard and Florence (Gleason) Keenly. She graduated from Port Byron Central School. On November 13th, 1965, she married Kenneth L. Bogart at the Auburn Church of the Nazarene, a union that lasted 58 years until her passing. In 1968 the couple moved to Seneca Falls, where they set their roots and raised their family. Sandy was a homemaker when her sons were young, and once they were older she worked for various area institutions over the years, including; switchboard operator at Seneca Falls Hospital, office staff at Finger Lakes Pennysaver, some light clerical work Geneva General Hospital, and finally retiring from Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic in their purchasing department.

Sandy had many joys in life. She loved knitting, crocheting, spending time with her grandkids, and liked to cozy up in her living room to watch the Hallmark Channel. She was also a life member of the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992 Auxiliary.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Kenneth L.; sons, Kenneth A. (Stacey) and Brian R. (Amy); 5 grandchildren, Emily, Michael, Matthew, Zachary, Joshua; sister, Joyce Houck; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Richard, Florence, Barbara, and Phyllis.
