IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley A.
(Delsanto) Porcelli
December 14, 1935 – February 10, 2026
Shirley A. (Delsanto) Porcelli, a longtime resident of Seneca Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Geneva General Hospital.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family, where Shirley will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Peter, in Springbrook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s memory to St. Patrick’s Church (Parish Office), 35 Center Street, Waterloo, NY 13165.
Shirley was born in Auburn, New York, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marian (Lamphear) Delsanto. She was raised in Auburn and on August 3, 1956, was united in marriage with Peter Porcelli. Due to Peter’s military service, the couple and their growing family lived in various locations both within the United States and abroad. In 1970, they settled in Seneca Falls, which remained their home for the rest of Shirley’s life.
Shirley was devoted to her family and was primarily a homemaker. For several years, she also worked as the bakery manager at Super Duper. When her grandchildren were born, she dedicated herself to being an active and loving presence in their lives, serving as their primary caregiver during their early years. Her family and her faith were the two most important parts of her life.
She enjoyed bowling, reading her Bible, occasional visits to the slot machines, and traveling in her younger years. Shirley was a faithful and longtime member of St. Patrick’s Church.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Joseph (Gail) Porcelli and Peter (Carola) Porcelli; her daughter, Terry (Glen) Porcelli VanDyke; her grandchildren, Anthony, Heather, Erica, Allison, and Peter John; three great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Joanna Amore.
In addition to her husband Peter, who passed away in 2010, Shirley was predeceased by her sisters, Barbara Longo, Jean Guthrie, and Betty Demming.
