Shirley Ann (Toni) Parker

Shirley Ann Toni Parker, 84, passed away peacefully on March 7th, 2025, with her family at her side. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 18th at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church in Seneca Falls, followed by interment in St. Columbkille Cemetery in Seneca Falls. Donations in memory may be directed to the Seneca Falls Library at senecafallslibrary.org.

Shirley was born April 10, 1940 in Seneca Falls to the late John and Rose (Rossi) Toni. Shirley graduated from Mynderse Academy and married William Parker on June 29, 1963. Shirley shared over 53 years of marriage with Bill. They referred to each other as P1 and P2. Shirley was the first member of her family to attend college and a proud graduate of Cortland University, where she earned her degree in Education. Later, Shirley earned a Master’s Degree from Nazareth University. Shirley spent her entire career devoted to education, teaching a variety of subjects from elementary school, to middle school and special education classes. Shirley was able to make heartfelt connections that spanned her lifetime with fellow teachers and even more so, her students.

Shirley was able to experience and enjoy traveling throughout the United States and abroad with Bill. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend and teacher. Everyone knew Mrs. Parker or Grandma Parker and has a story to tell of how their experience with her touched their life.

Shirley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kristin and Brian Fay; grandchildren, Jolene, Kyle, Corey and Ashley; brother, Robert Toni and his family in Maryland; multiple nieces and nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband and son, William and Timothy Parker; sister, Marie Battaglia, and brother, James Toni.

Mom, Grandma, P1, Park, Sister, Aunt Shirley, Mrs. Parker…. you are greatly missed but will never be forgotten. To our family and friends who have reached out sharing your memories and expressing your condolences, thank you.
