Stephen G. “Steph” Webster, 59, of Seneca Falls, passed at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026. An hour of visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25th, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, immediately followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, at Spirit of Grace Fellowship Church, 10 Chapel St., Waterloo. Military Honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the service.
Stephen was born in Salisbury, Maryland, son of Bennie and Loretta (Bethard) Webster. From a young age, Stephen loved music. His mother, being a pastor, music was always around. He loved all different kinds of music. As a young boy, he would play trumpet for church services, and as he got older, he loved to play the guitar, both electric and acoustic. He was also a skilled artist. He enjoyed painting and drawing.
Stephen was a veteran, proudly serving in the US Marine Corps.
While Stephen enjoyed getting together with family and friends for the holidays, Christmas was always his favorite. He especially enjoyed putting the decorations on the Christmas tree. In addition, Stephen was a skilled cook in the kitchen. He was known for his chicken marsala and crab cakes.
Stephen was known by different names depending on how you knew him. To his immediate family he was known as Stephen, his close friends knew him as Steph, and his grandchildren, who were his world, knew him as Pop Pop. He will be remembered as a great Pop Pop by his grandchildren.
Stephen is survived by his mother, Loretta Perry; brothers, Lee Webster, Bruce (Kaye) Webster; sisters, Wanda Gravenor, Dianne Wooters, Lisa (Jeff) Marshall; children; Stephen Jr.,Ian, Jordan, Tyler, Haley, Dallas, and Cameron Webster; longtime girlfriend, Patricia Yaple; her children, Taylor Capalongo, Bailee Purnell, Richard Olschewski; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and extended family.
