Susanna Nicolini, 93, passed away peacefully at The Jewish Home of Rochester on August 29th, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 9th at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 97 West Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Burial to follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, where Susanna will join her late husband, Bruno, in eternal rest. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be directed to St. Francis & St. Clare Parish, 35 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165.

Susanna was born in Cerageto, Italy, March 15, 1933, to Ottavio and Agata (Morganti) Pluretti. Susanna married Bruno Nicolini in 1952 and shortly after the couple immigrated to Seneca Falls. She was a life-long resident of Seneca Falls and parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church. Susanna was primarily a stay-at- home mom but over the years also worked at Seneca Knitting Mill and the former Eisenhower College. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Susanna is survived by her daughter, Adrienne (Michael) Berend; son, James (Melissa) Nicolini; grandchildren Kevin Berend, Scott (Sarah) Berend and Alexandria Nicolini; great-granddaughter Rose Berend; sister Rita DiPasquale; sister-in-law Albina Pioli; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Bruno; brother, Elio Pluretti; sister-in-law, Betty Pluretti; and brothers-in-law, Vincent DiPasquale, and Nicodemo and Giuseppe Nicolini.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Jewish Home, where Susanna resided the last two years.
