Thomas W. Smith, 79, of Seneca Falls, passed unexpectedly at his home on Friday, February, 23rd, 2024. In keeping with Tom's wishes, there will be no public visitation and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Tom was born in 1944 in Geneva, NY, the son of the late Merle and Rita (Campbell) Smith. He was a graduate of Waterloo Central School, Class of 1963. In 1974 he started with Goulds Pumps where he was a Mechanic. He retired in 2004 after 30 years with the company. On July 20th, 2002 he married Vivian Amidon. The couple shared in over 40 years of love and devotion and 21 years of marriage. Tom was always a tinkerer who enjoyed working with his hands. He loved being outdoors, fishing with friends, especially his fishing trips to Old Forge, and enjoyed spending time at del Lago. After retiring, Tom and Vivian spent their winters in Florida and their summers at Black Brook RV Club in Seneca Falls. Some of Tom's greatest passions in life were NASCAR, an especially big Kyle Busch fan, and spending time with his family and close friends.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Vivian; sons, Matthew (Valencia) and Paul Smith; stepson, Jason (Holly) Leone; several grandchildren; brothers, Fred and Alan (Tricia) Smith; sister, Sally (Steve) Piagentini; and several nieces and nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Carol.
