Timothy J. Kelsey, 46, lifelong resident of Seneca Falls, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday, September 22nd from 1 – 4 PM, with a funeral service to immediately follow at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Private burial will take place at Canoga Cemetery at the families’ convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the American Heart Association at Heart.org.
Tim was born in Geneva, NY, the son of Charles and Marie (Rapa) Kelsey. He graduated from Mynderse Academy, Class of 1996. Tim attended Motorcycle Mechanic School in Orlando, Florida. He used his education at MMI to foster his lifelong passion for motorcycles and motorcycle culture. He enjoyed helping other motorcyclists with maintenance and repairs and had run his own shop, Sick Motorsports in Seneca Falls. Tim also enjoyed riding snowmobiles with his dad and brothers in the winter months.
Tim’s hobbies extended beyond motorsports; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his kids and family. He was a member of the SMS, Canoga Sportsman Club, and was the Vice President of the Seneca Falls Chapter of The Iron Horsemen MC.
Most recently Tim had worked for Zoladz Construction in Victor as a Project Manager but had also previously worked for other local construction companies where he brought his knowledge and expertise in construction.
Tim is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sara (Luffman); daughter, Mia; son, Leland; parents, Charles and Marie; brothers, Brian (Amy), Joe (Krista), Kevin (Vicky) Kelsey; paternal grandmother, Alice Kelsey; uncle, Paul Kelsey, who he was very close to; mother and father-in-law, Charles and Nancy Luffman; as well as other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Louis and Ann Rapa; paternal grandfather, Raymond Kelsey; uncle and godfather, John Kelsey; and cousin, Heather Gaglianese.
