Toni was born in Seneca Falls, youngest daughter of the late Anthony and Jean (Suglia) Osso. She graduated from Mynderse Academy, Class of 1985, and then followed her heart and her passion to become a nurse, receiving her bachelor's degree in nursing from Syracuse University’s Utica College. She got her start in the nursing field at the ICU at Clifton Springs Hospital. After a few years of experience, she pursued her master’s degree in nursing administration from the University of Rochester. Toni loved being a nurse and helping others, and most recently held the title of Director of Licensed Home Care Services Agency for Rochester Regional Health.
As proud as she was of her professional accomplishments, it was her devotion to her family that gave her the most enjoyment in life. She loved being a wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend to those in her inner circle. She had a way of making those closest to her feel loved and special. Many of her closest friends were nurses she started out working with and became close like family. She also shared a special bond with her college friends and has remained close with them to this day. She was a true caretaker in every sense of the word.
Toni’s big heart extended beyond people. She shared a special bond with her pet beagles, and she loved sea turtles. Myrtle Beach, SC, was the place she found her inner peace, and she loved burying her feet in the sand and listening to the ocean water roll on.
Toni is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gordon; daughters, Cassie (fiancé, Dylan Constable) McGhan and Taylor (Josef Shaffer) McGhan; son, Jake (fiancé, Danielle Washbourne) McGhan; dearest grandchildren, Carson Constable and Beau Shaffer; sisters, Kim Osso, Tammy (Mike) Clark, Debbie (John Carbonaro) Osso, Teresa Rawson; several nieces and nephews; and all of her 4 legged friends, especially, her beagles. In addition to her parents, Toni was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Randy Rawson, and her all-time favorite beagle, Delilah.
