Vittorio “Vic” Manzari, 98, of Seneca Falls, passed on Monday, August 31st, 2026 at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo, surrounded by the love of his family. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, September 4th, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of his funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Interment will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery. Donations in Vic’s memory may be directed to either St. Patrick’s Church (Parish Office), 35 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to a meaningful charity of choice.

Vic was born in Casamassima, Italy, son of the late Daniele and Porzia (Amleto) Manzari. He grew up and spent his youth in Italy with dreams of one day coming to the United States. In 1952, Vic emigrated to Canada, before finally coming to the United States in 1956. Not long after, on October 27th of the same year, he was united in marriage with Angeline Lapomarda, at St. Patrick’s Church in Seneca Falls. In 1960, Vic, known for his strong work ethic and desire to work, began his career with Goulds Pumps, first working as a carpenter, and then transitioning to working as a pump assembler. He did this until 1991, when, after more than 30 years, he decided to retire. After all of 2 weeks of retirement, Vic began his favorite job, working and tending to the grapes and vineyards of a couple of local wineries. First there was Knapp Winery where he worked for a few years before he began at Swedish Hill Winery; from where he finally retired after several years, and at the age of 91.

A man who worked the majority of his life, he had little passions outside of work, with the exception of winemaking, gardening, and his steadfast love for his family. Vic grew his own grapes at home and was known for his own brand of wine. He also was proud of his vegetable garden, often growing so much that he shared the bounty with his neighbors and friends. Always eager to lend a helping hand, Vic would also mow his neighbors’ lawns for them in the summer and plow their driveways in the winter. His family meant the world to him, and he was always eager to spend time with them; especially around the holidays and birthdays. His presence in the lives around him is what will be missed the most.

Vic is survived by his bride of 69 years, Angeline; children, Priscilla Kuney, Anthony (Maria) Manzari, and Marie (Truman) Bells; 4 grandchildren, Megan (Nick Twenty Five) Manzari, Matthew Manzari, Brandon (Alex) Bells, Haleigh (Ryan Ellis) Bells; 4 great-grandchildren, Tatum Ellis, Poppy Bells, Theo Twenty Five, and Cohen Ellis; sister, Maria Pastore; sisters-in-law, Lina Manzari, Anna Manzari, Rosemary Martello; several nieces and nephews, as well as extended family in both the US and in Italy. In addition to his parents, Vic was predeceased by his 3 brothers, John, Frank, and Gerry Manzari; son-in-law, Kelby Kuney, brothers-in-law, Raffaele Pastore, Eugene Martello, and John Lapomarda; sisters-in-law, Laura Manzari, and Rosemarie Lapomarda.
