Seneca Falls: Alastair D. Johnstone, 65, of Seneca Falls, passed away on Tuesday, July 27th, 2021 at Geneva General Hospital with his family at his side.

Born in Stockport, England on March 27, 1956, the son of the late Cedric A. Johnstone and Jean E. (Peet) Spinelli. In 1981, Al moved from England to the United States. Before moving to Seneca Falls and working for Gould's Pumps for many years, Al lived in Pennsylvania and Atlanta, GA. He had many hobbies and interests including cooking, playing billiards, painting, poetry, Garfield and Snoopy cartoons, rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles, and bird watching. Creating art was a big part of Al's life; he was a member of the Penn Yan Art Guild and created many beautiful works of art over his lifetime. He was also a big history buff, especially when it came to WWII. Al was a member of Calvary Chapel in Seneca Falls.

Survived by his sister, Zoë Johnstone - Sorgi of Mohnton, PA; long-time friend, Ana L. Jimenez Carreon of Mexico; and many cousins and extended family and friends around the world. Besides his parents, Al is predeceased by his step-father, Joseph D. Spinelli.

A service to celebrate Al's life will be announced at a future date. Donations in memory of Al may be made to the American Liver Foundation, PO Box 299, West Orange, NJ 07052.
