Alice M (Giovanni) DePasquale

September 15, 1933 — February 27, 2021

Seneca Falls: Alice Marie (Giovanni) DePasquale passed away on February 27, 2021, at Geneva General Hospital, at the age of 87. A private service for immediate family was held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Alice was laid to eternal rest next to her beloved husband, Daniel, at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Alice was born in Port Byron, NY, the daughter of the late Leroy and Jeanette (Armstrong) Giovanni. She married Daniel Anthony DePasquale. After her husband finished Law School at Syracuse University, they moved to open his law practice, and made Seneca Falls their home for life. They were a prominent couple who were wholeheartedly committed to God, family and their community. A woman of faith, she was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Seneca Falls. She was a person who loved life, her family and her large network of friends. She did not know a stranger and had a warmth that endeared her to all. She was a very active person in her community, belonging to the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge 992, Kirk Casey American Legion Post 366, St. Frances and St. Clare Knights of Columbus Council Auxiliary, and Kiwanis Club of Seneca Falls. She was truly the woman behind the man with her husband Daniel, as Lawyer and Judge, and devoted to his career of justice for all. Nothing brought her greater happiness than her family whom she held near and dear to her throughout her life. She took great pride in the accomplishments of her husband, children and grandchildren. Alice was the ultimate host, a fabulous cook, and she shared her gifts generously making everyone feel welcome and well fed. In her later years, she declined physically but never lost her zeal for life. She remained in her home, cared for by her son and daughter. She enjoyed music and singing, playing cards, watching Fox News, indoor gardening, and loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, sister and friends. A very caring and compassionate person, she was very much loved and revered by all who were blessed to know her.

Survived by her children, Denise (Andrew) Ondrejka, Frank DePasquale, Dianne (Timothy Hagerty) DePasquale-Hagerty; grandchildren, Daniel (Janelle) Ondrejka and Alyson Ondrejka, Daniel DePasquale II, Ethan Thompson; great-granddaughter, Haylee Dyer-Ondrejka; brother, Ken (Lynn) Giovanni; sister, Edna Thomas, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel.
