Obituary

Christopher Lisk, 46, of Forest Lake, MN and previously of Seneca Falls, died on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 9th, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 25 Center St., Waterloo. Burial with military honors will follow at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.

CJ was born in Geneva, NY, the son of Kenneth and Patricia (DiPronio) Lisk. In early 1998 CJ joined the US Coast Guard and made a career of serving his country; retiring in 2018 after nearly 21 years. He started his career as a medic and rose to the rank of Chief Petty Officer as a Health Service Technician; his title at retirement. During this time, he received many honors and medals, including, the Armed Forces Service Medal with a Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Coast Guard Achievement Medal with two Gold Stars, Coast Guard meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon with two Gold Stars, Coast Guard Pistol Sharpshooter Ribbon, Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation Ribbon with a Gold Star, Coast Guard Commandant's Letter of Commendation Ribbon with three Gold Stars, Coast Guard "E" Ribbon with a Gold Star, National Defense Service Medal, Coast Guard Special Operations Service Ribbon with a Bronze Star, Coast Guard Presidential Unit Citation, Coast Guard Sea Service Ribbon, and Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal. In addition to his decorated military career, CJ was also a member of the American Legion Kirk-Casey Post 366 and Cyrus Garnsey VFW Post 1323 Auxillary, both of Seneca Falls, as well as a 20 year Mason in Arlington Centennial Glebe Lodge No. 81 in Arlington, VA. CJ also held his Scottish heritage in high regard and his love for his family and friends knew no bounds.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia (DiPronio) Lisk; brothers, Kenneth (Tricia) and James (Tiffany) Lisk; fiancé, Stacy Novack; nieces, Tyler, Sophie, and Christy; nephews, Max and Christopher; as well as extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Kenneth Lisk in 2020.
