Donna J Wilkes

Seneca Falls: Donna J. (Stubbs) Wilkes, 81, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2022, at Geneva General Hospital, after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with a public Celebration of Life service to be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St, Waterloo, NY 13165, in Donna's memory.

Donna was a lifelong resident of Seneca Falls and a graduate of Mynderse Class of 1958. She drove bus for the Seneca Falls School system for nearly 30 years and retired after many years serving as a Student Support Staffer in 2014. She became a friend and was loved by many students over the years because of the compassion and respect she showed them all. She was always proud of the role she played in school and worked long past her retirement age.

Donna was a lover of animals and had several cats and dogs throughout her life. She will be missed dearly by her best friend Misty, her spoiled Dachshund, who could always be found snuggled at her side. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie (Steve) Churchill and her son, Kevin (Linda) Wilkes; her sisters Barb (Rory) Kelley and Pat Ferrara and her beloved grandchildren Jessica (Neal) McClean, Jamie (Chris) Lyon, Jennifer (John) Kalenian, Joshua (Ashley) Churchill, Monique (John) Haubrich and Kaleigh (Jacob) Thomas as well as many great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews that she adored as well as her loving friend and neighbor, Melissa Kennedy.

Donna was predeceased by her parents Grayson 'Bud' and Margaret 'Peg' Stubbs, her cherished daughter, Cheryl; her brother, Grayson 'Bud' Stubbs II and her sister, Bonnie Pitts.
