Edward D. Walker, 65, of Tyre, passed away on Tuesday, February 21st, at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA after a brief illness. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 from 11AM - 1PM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls.

Ed was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Howard and Louise (Hanson) Walker. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps. He married the late Penny Walker on December 4th, 1982; a blessed union of over 39 years until Penny's passing in October of 2022. Before relocating to Seneca county, Ed had worked as a Peace Officer in Niagara county and held many jobs locally as well. Ed and Penny had relocated to the area over 33 years ago. He was a longtime member of the Magee Fire Department, where he developed and fostered many relationships with his fellow firefighters. Over the years he came to sit on the board of the fire department and also held the Assistant Chief position; a position he enjoyed and found great pride holding. Some of Ed's hobbies included fishing, camping, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, and he had a big heart for his cats. Above all else, he loved his family and found great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren.

Ed is survived by his children, Edward Vinton and Katherine Claus; grandchildren, Clayton and Adin Paradise, Jake Walker, Arianna Claus; sister, Carol Springer of TX; nieces, nephews, and extended family. Besides his parents and late wife, Ed was predeceased by his brothers, Kendall, Daniel, and Howard Walker, and sisters, Faye Walker and Dawn "Sue" Gates.
