SENECA FALLS: Erin Joy Tiesi, 48, beloved daughter, sister, and niece, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Pathway Home of the Finger Lakes after a brief illness due to pancreatic cancer. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, April 22nd from 10 AM - 12 Noon at Trinity Episcopal Church, 27 Fall St., Seneca Falls with a funeral service to immediately follow. A scattering of Erin's cremated remains will follow in the church's memorial garden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Erin's memory to Trinity Episcopal Church, or Pathway Home of the Finger Lakes, 1529 Mound Road, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.

Erin was born on April 21, 1974, in Geneva, NY, the only daughter of Francis "Sam" and Judy (Weil) Tiesi. Not long after graduating from Mynderse Academy in 1993, Erin went to work for ARC and Pizza Hut. Her managers found her to be a rare gem as she quickly developed a strong work ethic and was valued as a reliable and loyal employee. In April of 2013, she joined BonaDent Dental Laboratories in Seneca Falls, where she was always glad to see her coworkers whom she considered family and happily found it to be a great place to work.

Erin who had a wonderful zest for life was an unofficial ambassador of all things Seneca Falls. Frequently, she could be found walking downtown, letting locals and visitors alike know all about Bedford Falls and It's a Wonderful Life, the Women's Rights National Historical Park, and the National Women's Hall of Fame. She was so proud to live in such a special place. In addition, she loved to walk the Ludovico Sculpture Trail along the canal where she often encountered many small animals and wildlife. Erin also cherished her visits to the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge in Seneca Falls and the Audubon Center in Savannah several times throughout the year to view various kinds of birds and enjoy being in nature.

Erin had a huge heart for animals and often befriended the cats she encountered in her neighborhood. She was also an avid SU Basketball fan and always up for attending live entertainment events including SCP productions, music fests, or the Syracuse Jazz Festival.

Erin is survived by her parents, "Sam" and Judy Tiesi of Seneca Falls; brothers, Matthew Tiesi of Portland, OR, and Andrew (Pam Ferrara) Tiesi of Waterloo; maternal uncles, John of Drexel Hill, PA; Jeffrey (Sara) of Boulder, CO; and James Weil of Wilmington, DE; aunt, Joanne (Weil) Walsh of Haddon Heights, NJ, as well as several cousins, friends, and extended family. Erin's infectious smile, kindness, and generosity will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is predeceased by her grandparents, John (Muriel) Weil and Samuel (Annunziata) Tiesi of Burlington, NJ, and her aunt, Joan (Plante) Weil of Drexel Hill, PA.
