Seneca Falls

Joe Bradley, 70, of Seneca Falls, passed away on Sunday, March 6th, 2022, with his family by his side. Calling Hours will be on Friday, March 11th from 5-8 PM with a Masonic Service at 8 PM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. A Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Valerie White, will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 11 AM at Seneca Falls First United Methodist Church, 2 Chapel St., Seneca Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to The Bradley Fund at the United Methodist Church in Seneca Falls, or First Tee https://firsttee.org/donate/.

Joe was born in Lancaster, SC, the son of the late Ira and Reba (Munn) Bradley. He moved to the Syracuse area during his last year of high school and graduated from Corcoran High. He worked for many years at Community General Hospital in Syracuse before taking employment with Geneva General Hospital as the Director of Environmental Services in 1989. The hospital helped Joe further his education, and he received a BS from Keuka College in 2003.

Joe met the love of his life, the late Nancy Elder, at a singles bowling league in Syracuse. The two were married on June 23, 1979 and they raised their family in Seneca Falls. Joe and Nancy were very involved in their church and community.

Joe was a member at the Seneca Falls Country Club for many years, sat on the school board for the Seneca Falls Central School District, belonged to the Pocahontas Masonic Lodge 211 F. & A.M., enjoyed gardening, and especially enjoyed a good game of golf. He has three recorded holes-in-one; one at Silver Creek Golf Course and two at Seneca Falls Country Club.

He is survived by his daughter, Shamien (Andrew Jr.) Jansen; son, Brenten (Amanda) Bradley; Godson who was like a son, Zachary (Nancy) Carrington; grandchildren, Caden, Ethan, Devin, Melia, Eden; sisters, Freda (Donnie) Hopkins and Janice Marsh; as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family. Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy; brothers, Keith and Kenneth Bradley, and infant sister, Judy.
