Paul A. Spiegel

Paul A. Spiegel, 82, ascended to heaven on November 2, 2023. Paul loved his family deeply, and often shared stories involving his beautiful family with people he met at campgrounds, stores, and restaurants. He was a quintessential salesman, working for John Crane Packing (Morton Grove, Illinois) for more than 40 years. Paul shared a warm welcome and had a genuine interest in talking with people, often telling a quick story, or giving a piece of advice on a dilemma they were facing.

Paul was born in Queens, New York on October 19, 1941, the son of Alexander Sr. and Agnes Spiegel. Paul is survived by his loving wife Doris (nee Scott), his brother, Stephen Spiegel of Lakeland, Florida and his sister-in-law, Leanne Spiegel of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alex L. Spiegel.

Paul's life changed dramatically when he married "his bride Blondie" in June of 1990, and together they shared many happy years traveling in their camper and visiting family & friends. Paul also shared a cherished relationship with Doris' children, Joann Bean and Scott Durso as well as Doris' grandchildren Brooke (Justin) and Dakota.

Paul signed many birthday cards, "King Dad," and loved his children immensely: Michael (Karen), Lisa (Edward), Peter (Kristine), Jonathan (Darleen), Amy and Patrick (Lori). He lit up when visiting his many grandchildren and loved to hear about their successes in school, sports, and other achievements: Antonio, Sophia, Madeline, Nicole, Trevor, Austin, Lindsey, Maxwell, Zachary, Danielle, Alexander, Ella, and Benjamin.

Somewhere in heaven Paul is speaking at a homeowner's association meeting, watching a Buffalo Bills game, or shopping for a new camper. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 17th at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard Street, Seneca Falls, New York. Calling Hours are 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, with a brief prayer service and burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity organization of your choice.
