Seneca Falls

William Parker, 81, lifelong resident of Seneca Falls, passed away on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 at DeMay Living Center in Newark with family at his side. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 27th, 2021 at 10AM at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca Falls. Interment, with military honors to follow at St. Columbkille Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seneca Falls Rotary Service Foundation, Inc. P.O. Box 242, Seneca Falls, N.Y. 13148.

Bill was born in Seneca Falls to the late Clifford and Marion (Huson) Parker. He graduated from Mynderse Academy, proudly served in the United States Navy from 1958-1961 aboard the USS Independence and on June 29th, 1968 married Shirley Toni. Together, Bill and Shirley, have shared in over 53 years of marriage together. Bill attended Rochester Institute of Technology, received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and worked at Bausch + Lomb in Rochester before returning to Seneca Falls where he made a career working at Goulds Pumps. He started in the factory and worked his way to become Vice President of Operations; a position that allowed him to travel abroad and from which he retired. Bill loved sailing with friends on Seneca Lake, golfing at the Country Club and was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Church. Bill served on the Seneca Falls Recreation & Parks Commission, was a board member for the Seneca Cayuga ARC (Mozaic) and was a member of Seneca Falls Rotary where he was involved with the Malawi irrigation project, which was especially important to him. Throughout his life, there was one common thread that persisted, his generosity and willingness to help others. Bill, known to many as Parker, loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Bill was never more than a phone call away whether in good times or bad.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley; daughter and son in law, Kristin and Brian Fay; grandchildren, Jolene, Kyle, Corey and Corey's fiancé Ashley Coffey, brother, Robert Parker, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, Bill is predeceased by his son, Timothy Parker. P1, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle Bill, Parker… you will be greatly missed but never forgotten. To family and friends who have reached out and expressed your condolences, thank you.
